Alternate Characters

Alternate Characters, or alts, on Where No One Has Gone Before are heavily in demand. In order to protect the ability to request an alt, you must satisfy all of the following requirements:

1. You must be on the game for more than a period of 30 days.
2. You must have a character already in IC play.

Once you satisfy those prerequisites, you can submit an alternate character application to the appropriate request list by submitting the name and biography of the alt you request, to the org request list you intend for that alt to join.

If your application is approved, you are bound by the following regulations:

1. Alt information is NOT to be disclosed to any other players under any circumstances.
2. In RP situations where both alts are involved, use caution. Altmixing is permitted if it is for the purpose of injecting role-play, and not for ulterior gain. Situations may or may not be subject to wizard review and/or retcon.
3. All alts are required to maintain the same e-mail address for verification of the alts' player.

It is our general policy that alternate characters are a privledge, and once abused, can be taken away. We ask that you consider this not just for yourself, but for all players with alts. If the transgression is severe, it may eliminate the alt policy completely.

Alts are limited to 2 per player (original character + 1 alt). While it is not expressly prohibited, it is preferred that all alts be members of different Orgs. Approval will be at the discretion of the Org wizard.

NOTICE: An approved alternate character does not provide blanket authority to have two characters on the game. If an alt is legally killed within the rules of the game or request to be @reset, the administration may or may not approve of a replacement character and decide to revoke the privilege if sufficient grounds are met. Each reset will be reviewed by the administration on a case-by-case basis.
