Quarters A101 [Deep Space 9]
Simple appointments dress these quarters, austere yet comfortable enough for a traveler's extended stay. The main room and living quarters is furnished with a sectional sofa of icy silver with a matching recliner, and a glass coffee table nestled within. To the right is a small eating alcove with table and chairs and a food replicator. In the back left corner is a work desk with a small computer terminal. To the left a door leads into the sleeping quarters where a comfortable queen-sized bed and sonic shower reside.

[Commplant] Channel now open. Linked to Commodore Cei.

You say, "Greetings Commodore."

[Commplant] Cei says, "Doctor Talbot, this is Commodore Cei of the Inspector General's Office. I would like to first apologize and send my heart-felt condolences for the loss you experienced. Are you available to speak with me regarding the case?"

Pryus-Talbot sighs softly as the word condolences is said, "Yes, of course."

[Commplant] "If you have an office, we can meet there," Cei replies. "Alternatively, you can meet me at my temporary quarters at C101."

Pryus-Talbot gives an unseen nod, "I will come to your quarters as I do not have an office."

[Commplant] Cei says, "I'll be waiting. Cei, out."

[Commplant] Communication was terminated by Commodore Cei.

The door leading to VIP Quarters C101 slides open.

Quarters C101 [Deep Space 9]
Simple appointments dress these quarters, austere yet comfortable enough for a traveler's extended stay. The main room and living quarters is furnished with a sectional sofa of icy silver with a matching recliner, and a glass coffee table nestled within. To the right is a small eating alcove with table and chairs and a food replicator. In the back left corner is a work desk with a small computer terminal. To the left a door leads into the sleeping quarters where a comfortable queen-sized bed and sonic shower reside.

The door leading to Out slides closed.

Seated at the small table is Cei, who gracefully stands as the door sweeps open. Her hands clasp in front of her as she gives a pleasant gaze back towards the door. She is Deltan, so she naturally gives off an air of pheromones about her, but she makes no displays. In fact, even her mental state is a bit guarded due to the current investigation.

Pryus-Talbot steps inside and gives a slight nod to the Commodore, she draws in and toward the Deltan, "Commodore." She states quietly, she knew this was coming but it didn't make it any less painful for her.

"Doctor," Cei replies. She motions towards the seat opposite the one she just stood from. "Please, take a seat and relax. Is there anything I can get for you? Something to drink?" her calm, relaxing voice inquires.

Pryus-Talbot shakes her head gently, "No, thank you. I'm fine." She answers as she takes a seat in the suggested seat. "I will relax as much as I can, it is something that is proven difficult these last few weeks."

Cei gives a soft nod, gently settling into the seat across from the Betazoid woman. "I know this is a hard time for you, and much of what I will ask will be difficult to answer, but I'd like to ask that you answer my questions with honesty and to the best of your ability."

Pryus-Talbot shakes her head gently, "I doubt it will be any harder than the questions I have already asked myself, I would not lie. Especially about something like this." She responds quietly but clearly, she sweeps back her hair behind her ear.

Cei nods again, offering a faint smile to the other woman. "I understand you weren't present during the incident, so I will spare you questions regarding the direct incident. However," she pauses just a moment, taking a brief sip of water before continuing, "I am interested in anything that might have been out of the ordinary that day for you."

Pryus-Talbot nods gently and rests her hands in her lap, she had no more tears left for the events that had passed. "He was distant, it was like he was planning something he didn't want me to know about and he wanted me to leave the station. This was only realised after it was all to late, he said something most unusual to me in French. I ignored it at the time thinking he was trying to be romantic." She answers honestly, almost coldly, "That man wasn't the man that married me."

"Aside from behavior, did you sense any difference in Mister Talbot?" Cei inquires, pulling out a PADD and starting to make little notations.

Pryus-Talbot thinks a moment, "I rarely saw him since we were assigned to the Excalibur, our duty rosters varied so much usually one of us was sleeping whilst the other worked." She explains, "I was a little taken when I found out I was pregnant, he took it in his stride. Other than being distant ... there wasn't much more to say. He had a minor neurochemical imbalance which he refused to be treated for by Lieutenant Senka." She adds after a moment's thought.

"Were you aware of the imbalance before or made aware after the incident?" Cei inquires as she looks up again from her PADD.

Pryus-Talbot nods gently, "I was present during the physical."

"Did you, at the time of the physical, agree with Doctor Senka's assessment of fitness for duty despite his declining treatment?" Cei inquires. "And in retrospect, after the incident, do you agree with his assessment of fitness for duty?"

"I didn't see the exact reading that was taken as there was a conflict of interest, if Lieutenant Senka deemed it to be of no concern to his health then I would have agreed. Myself and Captain-" Kailyn takes a breath, "Captain Cross were both concerned with Ben's behaviour but the reading was apparently two low to be causing the issue."

"Do you believe there may have been an additional factor than that of the imbalance?" Cei asks, making a few more notes.

Pryus-Talbot sighs softly, "I don't know, I did begin to look into this myself but I found that I would not have been able to find further information pertaining to this as there is no physical records that logically make sense. I have come to the conclusion that he was driven to this by some kind of psychological episode."

Cei nods slowly. "Has he experienced any previous psychological episode, to your knowledge?"

Pryus-Talbot shakes her head, "No, not that I am aware of."

Cei nods softly. She makes a few more notes, giving an awkward silence for several seconds, then gently changes the line of questioning. "Have you spoken to anyone in an official manner on this case, aside from me? That is excluding personal discussion."

Pryus-Talbot raises her brows slightly, "Officially? Uh, what do you mean?"

Cei smiles softly in understanding, "Our discussion, for example, is an official discussion of the case. If Captain Cross has also pulled you aside, it may also be considered official. This is, of course, excluding discussions that one would have with friends for consolation or general support."

Pryus-Talbot shakes her head, "No, I don't think so ... everything I have been told was more supportive. I've spoken to several people just to try and understand what actually happened.

"We'll try to figure that out for you, Doctor Talbot," Cei replies with a slow nod. "I believe I have everything I need from your questioning at the moment. Is there anything else you'd like to add regarding this case? I can always contact you, or you can contact me, should anything come up."

Pryus-Talbot nods gently, "I hope I was of some help." She pauses quietly on reflection of what she had just discussed and frowns nodding once more. "Thank you Commodore, I hope you can find the answers I've been unable to."

Cei gets to her feet, giving Pryus a gentle bow of her head. "You're very welcome. Be well, Doctor Talbot."

Pryus-Talbot stands and bows her head in return, "And you Commodore."

The door leading to Out slides open.
