|Title:||Head of Starfleet Anthropology|
Kathleen is the youngest of the four children born to Delzan and Marissa Madi. She is the only female child of the four Madi children. Her family lived in the capital city of Trill where her and her brothers grew up and went to school. Kathleen was the baby of the family, always looked after by her older brothers. As children they found they worked best in a team. Bevin would come up with the plan, Ardin would get everyone involved and make sure that he kept the adults off their tail, Rava would engineer whatever was needed, and Kathleen would be there to soothe her brother's wounds once they got themselves injured. As the Madi children grew up, they each found their own path in the universe.
Against their parents wishes, Kathleen's eldest brother, Ardin, decided to leave the safe haven of the planet of Trill to join Starfleet. Eventually he would become a great commander. Kathleen's second eldest brother, Bevin, decided to become a professor and stay in the Trill capital. While working at the university, he met his future wife and has since settled down with a family. Kathleen is the proud aunt of two little girls. Her third brother, Rava, is closest to her in age, only separated by two years. Rava was always a computer genius and so he decided to take his love of computers and joined Starfleet to help engineer new warp cores.
Kathleen did what none of her family did before and followed in her father's footsteps into research, medicine, and science. Even this was not what her parents wanted, as they thought of all the children she would be the one to advance to the point of being a host for a symbiont. This was not what Kathleen wanted to do and instead, disappointed her parents by continuing with her studies. After a few years in University, Kathleen was convinced by Rava and Ardin that she could best do her research through Starfleet.
After a long fought discussion with her parents, Kathleen was permitted to follow her two brothers into Starfleet where she attended as many classes in the sciences as she could. Kathleen has always loved science, from biology to chemistry to geology, she always found herself learning and researching something new.
Kathleen is a rather quiet, laid back person. She tries her best to please those around her, especially her family. With close friends and family, Kat is known as somewhat of a smartalec, taking after her brothers and their wild sense of humor. Kat continues to stay close with her brothers.
Kathleen is now a joined Trill, having taken on the symbiont Brax when the Academy was unable to send another candidate.

2405 - Kathleen is the eighth host for the Brax symbiont.
Zaria, seventh host, A young woman who studied Medicine on Trill until moving to Bajor after receiving the Brax symbiont. A peace loving woman, she strove to help the poorer people of the Dahkur Province until she was abducted and murdered. Her symbiont was forcefully removed while she was still alive. Zaria survived the traumatic surgery, but didn't last long after. The symbiont was recovered by Admiral Moriah Seryl and Kathleen Madi. Soon after the Brax symbiont was placed within Kathleen. (This information is known fact given into research done by Starfleet/Bajor/Trill upon Zaria's disappearance and murder, Kathleen has very little true memories of Zaria. Any memories that Kathleen does have of Zaria are of her last hours and are traumatic at best.)
Julie, the sixth host, Was implanted with the Brax symbiont in an emergency when the previous host was killed. She did this merely out of duty as no other Trill was available. Julie was a prized dancer with the Royal Intergalactic Ballet troupe. She took a short time off to find herself after being joined then returned to the ballet, though now as a choreographer. As she grew older, Julie moved from dancing to philanthropy. Julie passed away at the age of 85.
Lorlanna, the fifth host, was a cold and calculating woman who served in Starfleet Intelligence for many long years. Her duty to the Fleet was more important then any other aspect of her lively hood, and it was well reported that she had no friends or family. Lorlanna's only guilty pleasure was dance, and though she never danced herself, she rarely missed a show. Lorlanna was killed when a terrorist attacked during a recital of La Sylphide on a distant planet. With no time to return to the Trill home world, the Brax symbiont was saved by being implanted into the only other Trill at the show, Julie.
Aleko, the fourth host, received the Brax symbiont at a rather young range, barely 19. Aleko, an engineering genius, already had several patents and was well known for his feats in spacial engineering. He was also a warm and compassionate man, often led by his heart, making him a good choice to take over the Brax symbiont after the tragedy that was Cavil. He was one of the first Trill to join Starfleet and quickly rose through the ranks to become Chief Engineer. He retired late in life and returned to Trill.
Cavil, the third host, was chosen to receive the symbiont because he demonstrated that he was meant for great things and would continue the Brax legacy. He was educated and charismatic. One of the few hosts to be married, Cavil also had two children. Sadly, Cavil's family died shortly after he was Joined to the Brax symbiont, in a tragic accident. Cavil slowly became crazed and turned into a brooding, hateful man. Hating everything in life, including his own, Cavil ended his own life and tried to kill the symbiont within him. Luckily Brax was saved, but the hatefulness that Cavil felt left a deep impression on the Brax symbiont that is strongly felt by every host.
Saffron, the second host, was the greatest politician of her time. Charisma and beauty were only half of the double edged sword, Saffron was also incredibly intelligent. It was said that she could move mountains with her voice. She rose in politics to be one of the most renowned Senators of her time. After being First Contact was made, Saffron found herself chosen to be Ambassador of her people. She went to the stars and met many new races and cultures, developing new opportunities for her people. Saffron's passing was not well known to people, but her lost presence was surely missed.
Delaney, the first host, was a young entrepreneur who made every effort to be chosen by the Symposium committee. He was admittedly a little afraid to have a symbiont, but was happily surprised upon finding out that Brax, a newly born symbiont, and he would be Joined. Delaney made every effort to show this new symbiont the world in which they were upon. Delaney traveled throughout Trill, exploring everything that he could, both for himself and for Brax. Never was an adventure missed or life taken for granted.
