Counselling Offices (RP Log)
- Commander's Office [Deep Space 9]
- Positioned just off the station's operation center, this office provides the station's commanding officer a retreat from the hustle and bustle of the command center outside. The office is dominated by a Cardassian-styled desk. Two low-backed chairs are positioned just inside the room facing the desk, while a high-backed black leather executive chair is behind the desk for the office's occupant. Two control plexes with a traditional Cardassian configuration are built into the desk for use by the station's commander, and a Starfleet computer monitor is atop the desk. A large, oblong hexagonal viewport is built into the bulkhead immediately behind the desk, providing a captivating view of the wormhole.
- Immediately to the right when entering the office, roughly parallel with the desk, is a small seating area with a black couch. A half-height book case across from the couch is empty.
Cross is working behind his desk. He looks up when the doctor enters. "Good evening, Doctor."
Pryus-Talbot smiles faintly clasping her hands behind her back, "Good evening Captain." She greets him as she approaches his desk.
Cross says, "How can I help you?"
Pryus-Talbot nods once, "The reason for my visit is to discuss finding a suitable location to use as a counselling studio. Somewhere close to the Infirmary but still private." She states with a faint smile across her lips.
"Well, I did offer you one of the VIP Suites in the habitat ring, if memory serves," Captain Cross replies.
Pryus-Talbot nods gently, "At present I don't think it wise to have counselling sessions in my quarters. Would it be possible to request something on the promenade?" She asks quietly
Cross says, "I'm not sure. I just got a memo from Century 25 that they're selling the vacant storefront in section B. I'm not sure what else there is. What if I asked for one of the larger set of quarters in the habitat ring to be turned into a counselling suite with a lobby and a couple offices where we could have a couple of counsellors based out of?"
Pryus-Talbot pauses a moment and wets her lips, "Would you like me to contact Century 25 and see if there is anything available that would be suitable for several sessions?" She suggests.
Cross says, "Well, we wouldn't pay for space on the promenade. If we have the space, we have the space, but I think it's running fairly tight at the moment."
Pryus-Talbot nods gently, "Of course, would you like me to check it out?" She elaborate, "Then we can begin our sessions."
Cross says, "Why do you want to be on the promenade? It's busy and noisy."
Pryus-Talbot furrows her brow slightly, "I would imagine that being within a short distance to the infirmary would be more practical so I be needed in an emergency. It doesn't have to be on the Promenade." She clarifies.
Cross says, "Let me think about it. I have some other things I'm considering as well that I'd like to run by Lieutenant Senka."
Pryus-Talbot nods gently, "Very well Captain, I look forward to hearing from you."
Cross nods, "Thank you, Doctor. I'll get back to you as soon as I can."
Pryus-Talbot bows her head and leaves.
