Biography
Born unto El Aurian parents living on Earth in the twentieth century, Jacob Michael "Jake" Hathaway was an only child. He was unaware of his true heritage, having grown up under the guise of a Terran. His childhood was typical of any boy basking in the glow of the California sun, until he was the age of eighteen. Graduating from high school, he made the choice to go to Annapolis and attend the United States Naval Academy.
As a naval officer, Jake performed under the most difficult of circumstances, having been plunged into the middle of the Eugenics Wars, fighting on the side of freedom with the Allied forces. Lieutenant Jake Hathaway (USN) was the recipient of the Silver Star for his couraegous actions above and beyond the call of duty during a midnight attack upon his vessel. His star was a rising one, eventually attaining the rank of Captain and serving as the commanding officer of a cruiser.
At the age of 55, however, his parents 'died', leaving him with the truth of his heritage. Uprooting himself suddenly by retiring from the naval life, he, too, also made a quiet departure through faking his death and departing the planet under very unconventional means. Since then, he has wandered the galaxy for a time, until it was the right time to return to his home, Earth. Upon his arrival back into the solar system, he joined the next best thing to his beloved Navy: Starfleet.
