House s'Llaehnn

Members of the small, but ancient Hfihar s'Llaehnn are responsible for brokering many of the deals the Empire has made with offworlders. Consequently, they are often either universally loved or reviled in the Empire, depending on public feeling about intergalactic relations and politics. The past century has seen the Hfihar s'Llaehnn rise in power and prestige, due in no small part to their exhaustive work during the Borg War to maintain the seamless participation of the Rihannsu in the Galaxy Alliance. It was not, of course, actually seamless, but it is widely believed that, were it not for s'Llaehnn, internal strife may have ruptured the Rihannsu and the Galaxy Alliance long before the Borg had the chance to. Many members of s'Llaehhn join the Kiith Mrevhoqq'ghi, the diplomatic corps of the Empire, and oversee the annexation and assimilation of conquered peoples into the Empire. They are also a prominent Hfihar in politics and occasionally the military, although they end up in non-combative roles more often than not.

Hfihar s'Llaehnn tends to be more forward-thinking than most other houses. Although they have strong traditions of their own, they often fault other hfirnn for the shortsightedness their traditionalism sometimes brings about. They are among the more highly adaptive Rihannsu hfirnn with any considerable power in modern politics.
