Hfihar s'Tei is a very old noble house, but it has almost always been a minor player in the field of Rihannsu politics. Despite the small size of the house, its members comprise a large portion of the best scientists throughout the Empire. Because of the prestige members of hfihar s'Tei have brought to their house, s'Tei is able to maintain considerable income from hiring out its members and servants to the highest bidder. s'Tei's physical assets are unremarkable, but they have a significant financial advantage that sets them apart from other lesser houses.

Members of hfihar s'Tei are also among the most religious in the Empire. Their mnhei'sahe is tightly bound to their high regard for the Elements. Generally, members of hfihar s'Tei are open-minded and progressive relative to other hfihar of similar age. The fiscally-adept s'Tei usually remain neutral in matters of politics, however.
