Dr. Venise is a GA-Registered Medical Physician with certifications in neurology, cybernetics, and orthopaedics.

From 2378 through 2389, Dr. Venise Jillian stood as the public-facing director of the philathropic organization, Lazarus Foundation. Under her guidance, the foundation assisted in the rebuilding civilian Bajor, research and treatment of cripling diseases, the formation and partnership of the Galactic Red Cross, and advances made in the fields of genetic and cloning theory.

Venise briefly served as Executive Officer of the CCV B'Hala and as the Foundation Liason to the Bajoran Government and personal assistant to Minister Pel Denoj.

Under her command, the death of a prisoner during a routine transport was attributed to transporter malfunction after a brief Starfleet inquiry. The B'Hala and its entire crew, including Pel were destroyed in the Qo'noS bombing attacks -- Doctor Venise was not aboard at the time.

Dr. Venise announced her retirement from charity work in 2389. In a press release by the Foundation, she was quoted as, "going off to a beach somewhere to pursue men with bulging briefs."

Recent Updates: Not one to stay "retired" for long, Venise was announced as the Chief Executive Officer of the Altair Management Corporation in 2397. Her flagship is the CCV Lunaris, although she is known to have several other vessels at her disposal because she frequents starship auctions. She is a generous benefactor to the Bajoran government and Vedek Assembly. It is assumed that she is still involved with the Lazarus Foundation, but this has not been confirmed.

Venise is a socialite and enjoys rubbing noses with the rich and powerful. She collects people and ships like some people collect stamps or flower petals. She is known to host an annual New Years Eve gala, usually on or around Bajor.

In recent years, rumors have made their way our about a relationship between Dr. Venise and bounty hunter/space cowboy Joaquin Vaquero of the Rikon Defense Force.
